Thread Eggs

Materials:

thread or string
small balloons
scissors
liquid starch or fabric stiffener

Instructions:

1. Blow up the small balloons.
2. Soak 12-24'' pieces of thread in liquid starch or fabric stiffener. Soak each     piece seperately and remove the excess liquid by pulling the thread between     two fingers.
3. Cover the balloons by wrapping the threads around them one at a time,     crisscrossing any way you want.
4. Tie pieces of dry thread around the necks of the balloons until the thread dries.     Burst the balloons and pull them gently out of the top of the thread eggs.
5. Now you are ready to show off your thread eggs by hanging them on a tree, putting them in a basket, or any other creative ways you can think of.
